A café on Jalan Babadan in Pererenan, with a chess tournament every Sunday at 5 PM Bali time. Boards are provided, so you do not need to bring your own.

Where can I play chess in Bali?
Start with Little Brew Pererenan, followed by BMCC in Kuta, and Cofflight and Chessplank in Denpasar. Our places to play guide has directions, session information and advice on contacting each venue before visiting.
Are there weekly chess tournaments in Bali?
Little Brew Pererenan holds a tournament on Sundays at 5 PM Bali time (WITA). Boards are provided. Check the tournament calendar and confirm with the venue before travelling.
Do I need to bring a chessboard?
It depends on the venue. Little Brew provides boards; for informal games at City Park, bring your own board and pieces. Check the venue notes before you go.
Where can local children take chess lessons?
Pion Mas in Sanur and Jimbaran Chess Squad offer coaching for local children. Neither offers walk-in sparring games. Jimbaran’s lessons are on Mondays and Thursdays, 4:30–6 PM, on the second floor of the Jimbaran local government office. Contact the clubs about coaching arrangements.
How do I register for a tournament?
Open a tournament in the upcoming events list for its registration instructions, entry fees and organizer contacts. Register with the organizer using the link or WhatsApp contact shown on that event.
